Shell

Construction

The shell is constructed of fiberglass, which is approximately 5mm to 10mm in thickness. It is molded in two halves with a center flange. The two halves are connected together via bolts. It will stand on its own, but as an option the internal structure can be purchased.

The shell outer surface is gel coat matt white, the inner surface is fiberglass unfinished. The shell is an unfinished product straight out of the molds and generally has a somewhat rough appearance. Extra work will be required if an “auto-body perfect” look is desired. Most customers to date have not bothered to do so as the overall finish usually comes out looking pretty good.

Our shell has a 1-to-1 ratio and the molds for our shell are taken from a Singer-Link 727 level B flight simulator which is dimensionally accurate within marginal limits unlike some others on the market.

Assembly:

This product requires a little bit of skill to assemble. Usually, at least two people are needed to put it together.

Shipping:

This item ships with the windows not cut out as it is sturdier and less susceptible to breakage.

Shipping is by FOB and is calculated by quotation. Your full name, address, and phone number is required to acquire a quote. Insurance is mandatory. This is a large item and the dimensional weight affects the cost of shipping. Door to Door delivery is not always available to all addresses.

Note: The shipping of large items such as these outside the U.S. usually involves a shipping of handling agent arranging the proper import clearances and their fees plus duty and tax are paid on arrival by yourself.
